Description & Specifications
This amulet depicts Huginn and Muninn, the twin ravens of Óðinn, perched upon branching forms with a triskele at the centre. The design is interwoven in the manner of Old Norse and wider Germanic art, where flowing lines and interlaced motifs carried both beauty and meaning.
In the Eddic poems, Huginn (“Thought”) and Muninn (“Memory”) fly forth each day, returning to bring tidings to the Allfather. They embody the faculties of mind and remembrance, inseparable from wisdom and foresight. In wearing their image, one carries a reminder of knowledge as both gift and burden.
The triskele at the centre is an ancient Indo-European symbol, widely found across Celtic and Germanic contexts. Its triple form may speak of movement, cycles, or the threefold nature of existence. Together with the ravens, it unites themes of memory, thought, and the eternal turning of time.
