Valknut Ægishjálmr Ring

This ring unites two of the most potent Norse symbols — the Ægishjálmr, or Helm of Awe, and the Valknut, Odin’s knot of the slain. The face bears the Helm of Awe enclosed within a woven border, its eight arms radiating outward like spears defending a sacred centre. At the heart lies the Valknut, interlocked triangles representing the bond between life, death, and the divine.

The design recalls the protective staves once marked on shields and helms before battle, a visual invocation of courage and focus. On each side, the Valknut reappears, reinforcing the ring’s connection to Odin and the eternal cycle of fate. The contrast between polished metal and darkened recesses gives the piece a sense of depth — as if the symbols were carved into an ancient relic rather than cast anew.
