Góðhammarr - Mjǫllnir Signet Sun Wheel Ring

Sale price$35.00

The crown of this ring bears Mjǫllnir, the hammer wielded by Þórr, protector of the gods and mankind. Its design features the interwoven face across the hammer’s surface, a detail reminiscent of the gripping-beast style known from Norse art. On the sides of the band rests the Sun Wheel, an ancient Indo-European sign associated with the cycle of the year and the turning of the heavens.

Archaeological finds across Scandinavia, Gothic territories, and Anglo-Saxon England reveal the Sun Wheel as a motif carved into stones, cast into brooches, and etched into ceremonial objects. It long predated its later appropriation, carrying a meaning of life, balance, and cosmic renewal. This ring therefore carries within it two symbols: Mjǫllnir, the shield of the Germanic people, and the Sun Wheel, a mark of the eternal course of the sun. Worn as a piece of heritage jewelry, it connects the bearer to runic culture and the deep rhythms of ancient tradition.
